Deokhye the Last Princess (덕혜옹주) born on 25 May 1912 at Changdeok Palace in Seoul was the youngest daughter of Emperor Gwangmu and his concubine, Lady Bongnyeong. In 1917, her name was formally entered into the Imperial Family's registry and her father, Emperor Gwangmu, loved her greatly, and established the Deoksu Palace Kindergarten for her in Jeukjodang, Hamnyeong hall. In 1919, she was secretly engaged to Kim Jang-han, a nephew of Kim Hwangjin, a court chamberlain.

To save her from the Japanese scheme to sever the line of royal heirs, King Gojong had his daughter secretly engaged to Kim Jang-han, a nephew of Kim Hwang-jin, a court chamberlain.
But the powerless king suddenly and suspiciously died and she was taken to Japan with the excuse of continuing her studies.
In Japan, the young princess suffered ostracism from the Japanese nobility and even involuntarily married Count So Takeyuki who was by no means powerful or influential.
The marriage demonstrates that Korean royalty fell to the same level as the local Japanese aristocracy and the Japanization of the ex-royalty under close supervision, as the colonial government was afraid that the Joseon royal family could become a focus for the independent movement.

So Takeyuki (1908-1985), Deokhye's ex-husband who was a descendant of the clan lord of Tsushima Island, sent her belongings back in 1955 to her half-brother and Korea's last crown prince, Yeongchin, along with wedding gifts from the royal family.

Based on the novel of the same title written by the author, Kwon Bi-young, which was published in 2009. This film depicts the story of the last princess of the Joseon Dynasty, who had to live a misfortunate life as a daughter of Gojong, the Emperor Gwangmu.
This time for the movie titled Deokhye the Last Princess Son Ye Jin and Park Hae Il have signed on for the historical film Princess Deokhye, a biography of the last Crown Princess of Korea.
Princess Deokhye will be directed by Huh Jin Ho, who did the film April Snow with Son Ye Jin ten years ago. Filming begins in September this year, with a release date aimed sometime in 2016.

As the same title of the Novel and Movie, Music titled Deokhye the Last Princess was also created at almost the same timing. Now it’s titled Deokhye the Last Princess or as a subtitle, Numulkkot (in Korean) that is, The Rose of Tears, which is publicised through the internet is also now becoming popular in Korea and other countries.

Published currently they say it would be the Ost Music (Original Sound Track) and spreading out viral in on-line pages or blogs.
